Insurance for Balikbayan Boxes

Of course all Balikbayan boxes and other supplies are insured. This is valid both for transport damages and loss. The insurer recognizes the damage however on only if

• the missing articles were specified in your customs declaration and
• when a damage of the packing was noticed immediately at delivery and confirmed by the deliverer on the delivery note and
• the freight invoice was paid before the damage occured.

Each supplied box is insured with € 409,00 maximum. A higher insurance is possible after arrangement. If there is no notice on the delivery note about damages we cannot accept claims for damages. If the damages are caused by inadequate packaging we also cannot accept claims for damages.
